Philadelphia Eagles Rumors: Sam Bradford Trade Option For Marcus Mariota With Chip Kelly If Matt Barkley Traded after Tim Tebow?

The Philadelphia Eagles may consider a trade up for Marcus Mariota in the draft this year despite Chip Kelly already trading for Sam Bradford, as the Cleveland Browns could be interested in a deal for Bradford and if that happens, the Eagles would be in good position to move up with the Titans to get the Oregon quarterback and this comes with Matt Barkley on the trade block as well.

The Eagles have been one of the most active teams in the league this offseason and especially at the quarterback position. The team just signed Tim Tebow to a one year deal and reports have Matt Barkley on the trade block for Kelly. Earlier in the offseason the team traded Nick Foles for Bradford and signed back Mark Sanchez to be the backup quarterback. According to Pro Football Talk, there is still persistent talk that the Eagles are interested in Mariota and to get a deal done, they may have to make multiple moves.

Earlier in the offseason NJ.com reported that the Eagles were interested in Mariota and that Kelly could make "multiple trades" to get the quarterback. Mike Florio picks up on that idea and at Pro Football Talk he writes that a "three-way" trade could be an option for the Eagles. The Browns have shown interest in Sam Bradford this offseason and since they have two first round picks, they have the ammo to make a move. The two teams could exchange quarterbacks while sending picks to a third team, presumably the Titans or someone else in the top five or top 10.

Mariota has become the top target heading into the NFL draft, as most experts think that the Buccaneers will take Jameis Winston at number one. If that happens, the Titans are expected to get numerous calls and so far the Chargers, Bears, Eagles, Browns and Jets have all had reported interest in Mariota. The Chargers have the number 17 pick, but they also have Philip Rivers as a potential trade chip. The Browns have two first round picks and could go straight after Mariota, while the Bears and Jets could look at trading up from within the top 10.

Kelly signed Tebow to a one year deal and that could make Matt Barkley expendable, as he has not played much over the last two seasons. Barkley has been the third string quarterback, but with the way Kelly does things, Tebow likely has the inside track on that job. Reports have Barkley on the trade block and now that Tebow is signed, the team could try and push a trade and if that doesn't work, Barkley could be cut loose.

Bradford came over to the Eagles in a trade with the Rams for Foles along with draft picks. Kelly gave up some decent draft compensation for Bradford and that is why some have suggested that the reports about Mariota are overblown. Kelly has been active this offseason with the QB position after also signing Tebow and shopping Barkley and  there is a chance Bradford could get moved. Florio writes that Bradford is "vulnerable to be traded again" as long as he is not signed to an extension and that could eventually lead to a move for Mariota.
