Remember the NBA Finals back in 2000 that featured the Los Angeles Lakers and the Indiana Pacers, in which ended in six games with the Lakers coming out victorious?

Well after 12 years of keeping skeletons in his closet, former Pacers forward Jalen Rose finally came clean about an incident that he kept secret for so long.

Rose, now a popular NBA analyst and former member of Michigan's "Fab Five," spent 13 seasons in the NBA.

Recently Rose appeared on a Grantland podcast and spoke of the No.1 unwritten rule in basketball involves sticking out your foot underneath a player after contesting the players jump shot.

Rose admitted he broke that unwritten rule during the Finals that year.

In a rather lighthearted fashion, Rose admitted he stuck his foot out against Kobe Bryant while contesting his shot. As a result Bryant landed awkwardly, played just nine minutes in Game 2 and missed all of Game 3, which the Pacers won.

Co-host Dave Jacboy of Grantland then asked about Rose's intent.

"I think I did it on purpose," Rose responded.

Rose admits, however, that karma came back to bite him for his dirty deeds. Bryant's Lakers, of course, won the NBA Finals in six games that year, and Bryant even recorded his amazing 81-point effort in 2006 against Rose and the Raptors.

As far as grudges go, Bryant has remained friends with Rose over the years, according to Rose.
