Baltimore Orioles Results: Lose to Tampa Bay Rays, Fly to Texas for Friday's Wild Card Game

The Baltimore Orioles dropped Game 162 to the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday losing 4-1 on four solo home runs.

Evan Longoria continues to kill A.L. East pitching on the last game of the season. On this night, he hit three solo shots. His first came in the first inning then went deep again in the fourth and completed the hat trick in the sixth.

Joining him on the night was infielder Ryan Roberts. His solo shot came right after Longoria's second shot of the game in the fourth inning.

Chris Tillman of the Orioles went five innings allowing three earned runs. He was outpitched by Jeremy Hellickson who went 5.1 and gave up only one hit and a walk in the whole night.

Baltimore fans should not lose faith. They still have a chance of making it further into the postseason beyond Friday's Wild Card one-game playoff.

With the Yankees winning the division, the O's will travel to Texas to face the Rangers for the Wild Card Game.

Pitching matchups are TBA, we will bring you updates of the one-game playoffs as soon as they are out.

The Yankees have a 12-2 lead on the Boston Red Sox and are currently in the eighth inning of that game
