The matchups will be: Ghana vs. France and Korea vs. Germany.

Ghana vs. France
The French squad broke the hearts of the Nigerians as they went to the brink in the quarterfinal matchup. This one was settled by penalty shots and France won 5-3, eliminating Nigeria from the tournament.
France is headed by Lea Declerq who has scored three goals and dished out three assists in four tournaments played. Defense has been important for this group of girls as they have only allowed three goals in four matches.

Ghana defeated Japan 1-0 on a goal from Sherifatu Sumaila in minute 53 of their match. Ghana put this match away with great defense as they did not allow Japan to score a goal.
Ghana's offense usually comes from Jane Ayieyam. She has scored almost half of the squad's nine goals in the tournament. Ayieyam has four goals so far in the 2012 World Cup.

Without a doubt, this match will be all about defense. Ghana has only given up two goals in the entire tournament. France has given up three.
