The Los Angeles Lakers play their second NBA Preseason game of the year as they host the Portland Trail Blazers at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
The Lakers continue to prepare for a season filled with expectations after their summer acquisitions. Kobe Bryant was preparing to win gold over the summer as Lakers' management was working on getting him more hardware during the regular season.
More specifically, championship hardware.
The Lakers did not look too impressing in their first preseason game where they lost to the Golden State Warriors. However, Kobe and Metta World Peace hit double digits with 10 points each. Steve Nash finished with three assists and five points. Meanwhile Jordan Hill added 10 of his own from the bench, however, he was diagnosis with a herniated disk and will miss time. Surgery is still not a certainty.
For Portland, it will be their first preseason game of the year.
Though they missed the playoffs last season, Portland has some of the best young stars in the NBA.
LaMarcus Aldridge is probably one of the most underrated players in the league. He averaged 21.7 points, eight rebounds and almost a block and steal per game. Another great player to keep an eye on is Nicolas Batum. The French forward-guard, is, as you can see, versatile and had the hot hand from three shooting 39 percent from beyond the arc.
You do not have to wait until late October or November to begin enjoying the NBA. Check out the live stream we have provided.
