A couple of NFL teams have experienced fighting in the offseason, now the Bills are added to that list.
Fights often happen due to the tension and frustration that rotates around making an NFL team, let alone players who are trying to keep their spots on the roster safe. Now as we creep toward the start of the regular season most players are looking to his someone not wearing their team's jersey.
The latest two combatants are Bill's wide receiver Robert Woods and their star corner back Stephon Gilmore. This would be pretty typical except that Woods was throwing punches at Gilmore while his helmet was on. Rex Ryan the Bill's new head coach said
"I'm like, 'Dude, we have to do a better job, number one, you don't want to punch a guy without the helmet on, and the other thing you don't want to punch a guy with a helmet on cause you'll break a hand. So in other words, don't fight.' You know that's what I'd prefer. Sometimes I know it gets heated, every now and then it's just like a little thing and you just let it go, and this is not a thing that has carried over to the locker room. Those things happen sometimes. But yeah that's when you get concerned, when a guy's helmet comes off or you have somebody swinging a helmet, or swinging at a guy without a helmet...that doesn't end up well."
