Rutgers defeated their Big East rival Temple Owls in a 35-10 blowout. Gary Nova threw four touchdowns as he rallied his team from a first half 10-point deficit.
Temple slowed down the Scarlet Knights in the first half, shutting them out and scoring 10 points. They scored on a Cody Booth four-yard reception from quarterback Chris Coyer. They then struck again on a 49-yard field goal for the three points at the end of the second quarter.
The Scarlet Knights then made sure the Owls did not get on the board again.
Tim Wright struck with a 32-yard touchdown catch for Gary Nova's first of four touchdowns in the game. Seven minutes later Nova struck again with another 32-yard pass this time to Jawan Jamison. Right before the end of the third quarter Nova threw another touchdown to Mark Harrison, this time just five yards giving Rutgers a 21-10 lead.
D.C. Jefferson received the last Nova touchdown, a 10-yard reception early in the fourth quarter and to put the finishing touches on the victory, Khaseem Greene ran in a 19-yard fumble for the score.
Rutgers had put up 35 unanswered points and completed the comeback.
With the victory they remain an undefeated 7-0.
Rutgers visits the Kent State Golden Flashes next week as they will look to continue playing perfect football.
