Derek Cox (Free agent): Cox had a big year in 2012 with Jacksonville however after becoming a free agent bust for the Chargers he fell out of prominence. The Patriots released Cox last and he has been struggling to find a team, he has 13 interceptions in his five year career and 204 total tackles.
Alfonzo Dennard (Free agent): Dennard was with the Patriots for his 3 year career and had 5 interceptions in that time one of which he returned for a touchdown. Dennard has struggled ever since being cut by the Patriots earlier in the year, he struggled with hamstring problems and did not appear in enough games to warrant his $1 million cap hit. After being released Dennard was signed by the Cardinals but never made it to training camp. He recently tried out for the New Orleans Saints however nothing materialized from that. As a plus Dennard is only 25.
Carlos Rogers (Free Agent): Rodgers had his most successful season in 2012 when he almost won the Super Bowl with the San Francisco 49ers. Rogers spent most of his career with the Washington Redskins and had some success. In his career Rogers has 17 interceptions, 5 forced fumbles, 412 tackles, and 2 touchdowns. The only problem with Rogers is that he is 34 years old and did not record a single interception last year with the Oakland Raiders.
Ike Taylor (Retired as a Steeler): Taylor will have to be lured out of retirement as he is currently a broadcaster for the NFL Network. The 35 year old cornerback may have played his last down in football however he may still have some gas in his tank if he is convinced to play. Taylor's lack of speed at 35 can be an issue but the Cowboys have the safeties to mask such an issue.
Cortland Finnegan (Retired): At 31 Finnegan is younger than most of the other corners on this list. Finnegan did leave the league though as one of the league's worst cornerbacks so he has not been pursued by a lot of teams. Finnegan has never been a shut down cornerback but he should have some gas left in the tank.
