NFL Results and Scores Week 1: Rams Shock Seahawks, Bills Upset Colts, Jets, Packers, Denver Broncos, Dolphins, Chargers, Cardinals Win

The NFL season kicked off in full on Sunday and in Week 1 there were some upsets, including the St. Louis Rams winning over the Seattle Seahawks and the Buffalo Bills shutting down the Indianapolis Colts. The NY Jets won over the Browns at home, while the Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers and Chiefs won over the Chicago Bears, Washington Redskins and Houston Texans.

The early game action saw some dominating performances, including from the Bills defense, as they shut down the high powered Colts and Andrew Luck. Rex Ryan won in his debut performance and the Bills defense showed the potential of what it could do this season. The team picked off Luck early and the team won 27-14 and it came with a strong performance from Karlos Williams, who also scored a touchdown for the Bills.

The Packers won over the Bears at Soldier Field 31-23 despite a strong performance from Matt Forte and now the team is 1-0 this season. The NFC North is going to be a tough division and the Packers already have a nice win on the resume after getting this victory on the road. The Bears had the leaders in passing, rushing and receiving in the game in Jay Cutler, Forte and Alshon Jeffery, but it wasn't enough to win over the Packers.

The Seahawks and Rams played a tight game and the Rams ended up winning in overtime by the score of 34-31. The team was able to convert a field goal and then held the Seahawks from scoring in overtime to get the victory over their divisional rivals. The Seahawks were sloppy at times and they took the lead late, but the Rams were able to tie the game and send it into overtime. Seattle had an issue on the kickoff and that helped set up the Rams field goal.

The New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals played on Sunday and the Cards won 31-19 despite 335 yards from Drew Brees.
