NFL Fantasy Football Week 3 Preview: San Diego Chargers at Minnesota Vikings, Teddy Bridgewater, Charles Johnson, Adrian Peterson, Keenan Allen, Stevie Johnson

San Diego Chargers

Keenan Allen/Stevie Johnson/ Malcom Floyd (Wide Receivers): Floyd and Johnson were the receivers who benefited from a heavy dose of the passing game. Floyd and Johnson both found the end zone and Johnson has been the most consistent wide receiver on the Chargers. Without Ladarius Green the Charges should focus on Rivers favorite target, Stevie Johnson. Now the Vikings have defended the pass pretty well so far but these Chargers wide receivers should still be able to put up points. Johnson is a solid WR3 and Floyd and Allen could be productive flex players.

Ladarius Green (Tight End): Green suffered his second concussion in 11 days. That pretty much says it all about his status this Sunday.

Melvin Gordon/Danny Woodhead (Running Backs): Gordon had his best day as a pro which is a good sign for fantasy owners as his production is on the upswing. Now The Chargers are playing a stout Minnesota defense that can stop the rush if necessary. Gordon will handle the lion's share of the carries and Woodhead will come in on passing/ 3rd downs so Gordon would be the best play. He should be a low tier RB2 for this matchup. Woodhead will be strictly a low tier flex play.

Phillip Rivers (Quarterback): Rivers had a good day last week and should be able to put up a solid amount of points against Minnesota. The Chargers have the weapons to run up the score but this defense is sticky and can easily slow the game down. Rivers is a high tier QB2.

Minnesota Vikings

Adrian Peterson (Running Back): Peterson is finally looking like he is getting back to his old self. He had a solid outing last week and should find the red zone against the Chargers. The Chargers cannot stop Peterson so it is only a matter of time before he scores in this contest. Peterson is an RB1.

Teddy Bridgewater (Quarterback): Bridgewater had a solid outing last week posting a touchdown on the ground and in the air. Bridgewater is only a fantasy starter in deeper leagues.

Kyle Rudolph (Tight End): Rudolph has been Bridgewater's favorite target for the early part of the season. Rudolph has found the end zone multiple times already and should have no difficulty doing it again against the Chargers.
