-------------------------------------------WELCOME TO THE LIVE BLOG---------------------------------------

The San Antonio Spurs will travel to New Orleans to face the Hornets as both teams start their 2012-2013 seasons.

For the Spurs it will be another season with their veteran players leading their team as they attempt to better their 2011-2012 performance. Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili will try to hoist another trophy.

They went to the Western Conference Finals where they were trumped by the Oklahoma City Thunder, but that is now in their past and as they will look to get different results from their new season.

Hoping to take something out of Tim Duncan's book will be the No. 1 Draft Pick of the 2012 draft pick.

Anthony Davis will hit the floor and whether he likes it or not, he will be the scorer the Hornets depend on this season.

He already has some impressive hardware as an NCAA champion and Olympic gold medalist. He went into training camp confident and averaged just under 15 points with 9.9 rebounds in seven games.

Davis shot 47 percent from the floor and averaged 1.6 blocks a game.

The Hornets acquired Ryan Anderson from the Orlando Magic, giving Davis a deadly outside shooter he can probably get the ball to as he will more than likely get double teamed down low.
