NFL Fantasy Football Preview Week 5: Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders, Demaryius Thomas, Peyton Manning, Emmanuel Sanders, C.J. Anderson, Derek Carr

Denver Broncos

Demaryius Thomas/Emmanuel Sanders (Wide Receivers): The Oakland secondary has been getting hit hard this year. In week 1 it was the Bengals who utilized Tyler Eifert to knock off the Raiders. In week 2 it was Steve Smith and losing in a close game to the Raiders. Smith is easily the best example of the production you should see from Demaryius Thomas this week. The Browns had Travis Benjamin get some significant points against the Raiders which should translate into what Emmanuel Sanders should get. Thomas has had a sore neck but should be feeling a lot better by kickoff Sunday.

CJ Anderson/Ronnie Hillman (Running Back): Anderson's best week was the week 4 game against the Vikings and it is also the game Hillman broke out and opened the door for a Broncos rushing attack. They both should split reps down the middle but I expect Hillman to win the starting job at the end of the day. Oakland is pretty decent against the run so Anderson should struggle with his early down workload.

Peyton Manning (Quarterback): Manning is finding his rhythm slowly this season as he works out of the shot gun more. Manning is playing a defense that has given up the 5th most fantasy points to quarterbacks all year long. I would say Manning is a high end QB1 for this matchup.

Oakland Raiders

Latavius Murray (Running Back): Murray will need to get some targets in the passing game and redeem himself from last week's performance. Murray has shown flashes of dominance in several games this year and he should have a pretty good outing against a defense that has great cornerbacks and safeties. If the Raiders are smart they will establish the run, it is the best chance they have of winning the game and keeping that offense on the sideline.

Derek Carr (Quarterback): The Broncos have given up the fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks all season long. This does not bode well for the Raiders franchise QB, Carr will be settling for a lot of hand offs if the Raiders even want to compete in this game. Aqib Talib should blanket Amari Cooper all game long which should provide a lot of targets for Michael Crabtree however it will not be enough to beat the Broncos.

Amari Cooper/Michael Crabtree (Wide Receiver): Cooper will see Talib the Broncos number 1 cornerback all game long so his numbers should be limited unless Cooper is an elite wide receiver. Crabtree should get the majority of the targets and yards through the air if he comes to play.
