NFL Monday Night Football Predictions: Eagles vs. Saints, Vick Will Save Job and Season

When studying the Philadelphia Eagles' schedule at the beginning of the season, this looked like a must-watch matchup. Though both teams are struggling, this game is important for the Eagles.

The Eagles come into this matchup with the better record, they are 3-4. This tells you how poorly the Saints' season has gone despite Drew Brees having another stellar season.

Getting straight to the point, Michael Vick's season is on the line tonight as the Eagles play the Saints.

Does a player ever need any other motivation to step his game up?

Vick's forte all these years, his ability to scramble and use his feet to extend plays, has been his biggest weakness in 2012 because of the turnovers created.

They have lost nine fumbles and Vick has thrown eight interceptions.

However, if there is any good news for the Eagles and Vick is that the Saints have one of the Top 3 worst defenses in the league coming into the game.

The Eagles aren't overpowering on offense, but the Saints' defense is so bad they made the Kansas City Chiefs look competitive.

Coming into this Week 9 matchup, the Saints have allowed the most total yards and rushing yards per game. They have allowed the third most points per game (at least 30) and the second most yards through the air.

The Saints have a great defense, but because the Eagles' defense is not as horrid as the Saints' the Eagles have the edge in this game.

Score Predictions: DeSean Jackson has only one touchdown reception this season. He will have 100 plus yards receiving and two touchdowns in this one.

Eagles will win 27-21.
