The Chicago Bulls and the Brooklyn Nets are playing live on the NBA schedule for the opening night matchup on Wednesday and the game from Barclays Center starts at 7:30 pm ET. The Bulls opened against the Cavs and won and now they visit the Nets for the first game in Brooklyn for the season.
The Bulls come in after getting a nice win against the Cavs and that game saw Pau Gasol stop LeBron James at the end to keep the lead late. Derrick Rose is playing while dealing with some vision issues with his eye injury, while Jimmy Butler and Nikola Mirotic had strong performances. The Bulls are expected to be one of the top teams in the league this season and a win here would be a good way to start for the Nets.
The Nets have a solid winning record at home with 72 wins since opening the building and the team is looking to get a strong season from Brook Lopez. Lopez comes into the game after averaging nearly a double-double last season and he is the best player for the team and will be looking to start off strong. Lopez has dealt with injury issues in the past, but he is coming in healthy and he also comes in after having a nice finish to the preseason with 24 points against the Sixers in his last game.

Jarrett Jack could be out for the Nets in the game after missing some practice and if he can't play, Shane Larkin will step in for the team. Rose is back despite his injury and he comes in after averaging 17 points in 51 games last season. The Bulls opened up with a good victory for new head coach Fred Hoiberg and now the team will try and go for 2-0 and they have only done that once over the last decade.
The Bulls have a new identity this year, as they will be more of an offensive team after being one of the best defensive teams in the league the past two years. Rose had a solid game with 18 points after dealing with his issues, while Butler had 17 points in the game and Nikola Mirotic started the game and averaged 10 points last year, but he added 19 in this game. The Nets won 38 games last season and the team now is coming into the year after the departure of Deron Williams.
