Houston Texans Rumors: Alfred Blue Fantasy Start Option, Nate Washington Active? DeAndre Hopkins, Chris Polk Options Week 10 For Brian Hoyer

The Houston Texans are coming into Monday night football against the Bengals in Week 10 looking to stay alive in the AFC playoff race, while Cincy is looking to remain undefeated. Alfred Blue is a solid fantasy start option along with DeAndre Hopkins for team owners, while Nate Washington is probable for the game with an injury for Brian Hoyer.

The Texans are coming into the game after a bye week and at 3-5 they are on the outside of the playoff picture in the AFC, but they can stay alive with a win against the Bengals. Getting a victory will be a tough task, as the Bengals have been one of the best teams in the league this season and they come into the game at 8-0. The Texans are hoping to have Nate Washington on the field on Monday and he is coming into the game listed as probable.

The Houston Chronicle reports that Washington was limited in practice on Thursday, but was able to participate fully in practice over the last two days. Washington is on track to start and as long as he plays, fantasy owners should look at him as a solid start option. DeAndre Hopkins remains the number one target for the Texans, but Washington has stepped up in recent weeks and could put up some numbers despite matching up with a tough Bengals defense. Washington had his best game of the season in Week 7 with 127 yards and two touchdowns and over the past two games Washington has found the endzone three times for the Texans.

Alfred Blue is a solid fantasy starter option for the Texans this week, as he has been the lead back since Arian Foster was lost for the season with an injury. Blue started in Week 8 for the Texans ahead of Chris Polk and Jonathan Grimes and he has been getting the majority of touches with Foster out. Blue started for the Texans early in the season when Foster had a groin injury and he comes in after going for 72 total yards in Week 8 against the Titans.

The Texans are coming into the game with a couple players banged up, as Pro Football Talk reports that Jadeveon Clowney and Kareem Jackson have been ruled out for Monday night. The team has Jackson out for the third straight game and that likely will put Kevin Johnson into the starting lineup alongside Jonathan Joseph in the secondary. Clowney is dealing with a back injury that he suffered in the last game for the Texans and he was unable to practice during the week.
