LeSean McCoy Suffers Concussion Against Redskins, Willis McGahee Injures Right Knee, Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert Leaves Game With Hurt Elbow

The Philadelphia Eagles have struggled mightily this season on both sides of the ball and things have only gotten worse since quarterback Michael Vick was hurt.

The team must deal another crucial injury, after star running back LeSean McCoy suffered a concussion in the team's 31-6 loss to the Washington Redskins. McCoy was hurt in the final two minutes of the game.

Coach Andy Reid was criticized after the game for keeping McCoy in that late with the game so far out of hand, but defended his actions.

"We were trying to catch up and win the game," Reid said to Philly.com.

McCoy has 14 carries for 45 yards and caught six passes for 67 yards before leaving the game. He hasn't scored a touchdown in three games and is having a less productive season than compared to 2011.

This season McCoy has rushed for 750 yards and two touchdowns and has caught 40 balls for 325 yards and three touchdowns. He has also had issues protecting the ball, fumbling four times and losing three of them.

The Eagles have lost six games in a row and have played themselves out of the playoff picture.

Last year, McCoy was one of the most explosive players in football, rushing for 1,309 yards and 17 touchdowns and added 48 receptions and three touchdowns.

Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee hurt his right knee in Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers after being tackled by cornerback Quentin Jammer.

According to CBSSports.com "He walked to the sideline under his own power and was treated on a massage table by a team trainer, but left for the locker room at halftime and did not return."

McGahee had rushed for 55 yards on seven carries before leaving the game. He also had one catch for 18 yards. He has dealt with knee injuries throughout his career, but has been relatively healthy while playing with the Broncos.

Rookie Ronnie Hillman replaced McGahee in the game and he will have an MRI on Monday to see the extent of the damage, according to the Denver Post. Hillman along with Lance Ball combined for 78 yards in his place.

"It swelled up on him," said Broncos coach John Fox to the Denver Post. "We'll know more (Monday)."

Knowshon Moreno would most likely get back inot action if McGahee missed any time. Moreono has been missing from the lineup for eight-straight games after losing a fumble in the Week 2 game against the Falcons.

The Jacksonville Jaguars played tough against the Houston Texans, but did it mostly without their starting quarterback. Second-year quarterback Blaine Gabbert was injured in the first quarter of Jacksonville's game and did not return. The team lost 43-37 in overtime.

Gabbert suffered an elbow bruise after being hit by cornerback Danieal Manning, who forced a fumble with the hit. Chad Henne took over for Gabbert and threw for a career-high four touchdown passes to go with 354 yards passing.

The Dallas Cowboys lost starting left tackle Tyron Smith to a high ankle sprain in the first half of the team's 23-20 win against the Cleveland Browns.

"It's high ankle, which bothers the daylight out of you," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News, according to Yahoo Sports. "But he was in good enough shape with it to go in, but we know how those things are. But man is he a focused young man and if anybody could fight through this level - and don't ask me what level I'm talking about - but the trainers were a little more than usual optimistic that it might not be as bad as it can be."

The Cowboys have a short week and play the Washington Redskins on Thursday on Thanksgiving. Smith's status for the game is uncertain.

Kansas City Chiefs wideout Dwayne Bowe left the team's 28-6 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals with a neck injury, while Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson suffered a hamstring injury against the Atlanta Falcons.
