Indianapolis Colts linebacker Sio Moore was detained last night in Indianapolis after being caught driving recklessly at speeds of 100 miles per hour.
Moore was weaving in and out of traffic on interstate 65 near Lafayette road. Moore was given a summons for reckless driving and was given a citation for speeding. Moore will have to appear in court but was not taken into police custody. Moore has had a tumultuous time in the NFL. Coming out of Connecticut he was drafted in the 3rd round by the Oakland Raiders. Moore would go on to start 22 out of 26 games and recorded 7.5 sacks along with 105 tackles.
Before the start of the 2015 season the Raiders traded Moore to the Colts for a 6th round pick leaving some to speculate just what was actually going on with Moore and the Colts. Last season Moore played in 12 games and only recorded 4 solo tackles and 3 assisted tackles.
Schematically he does not seem like a fit with the Colts but then again it could be the lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball that has hindered Moore. The most relevant thing Moore did this season was that he was fined for roughing the passer against Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Mallett, which cost him $17,363.
