Rafa Benitez will hope for a better reception from his own club's fans, but will know one won't be forthcoming when Chelsea face Fulham in Wednesday's English Premier League game.
Both the West London rivals are struggling for form, having gone winless in their last five matches, picking up three points each. That poor form led to Roberto Di Matteo being fired by owner Roman Abramovich, with former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez taking charge until the end of the season.
Benitez, however, received a frosty reception in the 0-0 draw against Manchester City on Sunday, and will want to get in the good books of the fans by notching an impressive victory over Fulham.
"I understand the feelings of the fans and I know how they feel because of my time at Liverpool and the rivalry," Benitez told reporters. "I want to prove to them that I am here for the right reasons, I am here to win and if I can do it they will be pleased.
"I concentrate on my coaching and try to improve players, then it will be easier to win games and bring the fans back. All I can say is that I'm working very hard to do my job.
"I make sure I talk to all the players and I prepare for everything ahead of the game. The only thing I can do is try to win their trust by doing my job. The best way to change things is by winning games."
Chelsea will be without Daniel Sturridge, John Terry and Frank Lampard, but Gary Cahill has recovered from a virus.
"Still Sturridge, Terry and Lampard are not available," Benitez said. "They are doing well, training with the physios and improving, but we don't have a fixed date for any of them.
"The rest of the players are fine, there are a few knocks which I need to check tomorrow but apart from that they are all okay."
Fulham will be missing Bryan Ruiz, Alex Kacaniklic, Simon Davies and Kieran Richardson, although all of those players might be available within a week.
"Kerim Frei will be in the squad but Bryan Ruiz is still injured so he won't be involved," Jol said. "That will probably take another week -- Kacaniklic as well.
"Simon Davies is a long-term injury but he will start training next week. Kieran Richardson is ready to train with us but he won't be involved on Wednesday -- he could be available for the Tottenham Hotspur match."
