The Denver Broncos may see more than just Peyton Manning walk away from the team at the end of this season as they continue to fight for a Super Bowl.
Star defensive end Malik Jackson will also be a free agent and there will be plenty of teams who are looking to sign the productive defender. The Broncos only have $16 million in cap space so Jackson might walk away regardless, plus he is only 26 years old. Jackson has only missed 2 games in his 4 season career and continues to be a force that generates pressure at a high level.
In 2015 Jackson started in every game and racked up 45 combined tackles, 5 sacks, a safety, and 7 pass defenses. In his career Jackson has had 134 combined tackles, 14 sacks, a safety, 15 pass defenses, and 2 forced fumbles. Those types of numbers are hard to overlook and he could end up earning himself a rather large paycheck in 2016.
The list of possible teams interested are all over the spectrum of NFL, contenders like the Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys could all ink Jackson to a deal. Jackson is young so a youthful rebuilding team could also be the destination such as Cleveland, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, or San Francisco.
