Napoli will look to close the gap on leaders Juventus, when they travel to face an Inter Milan desperate to find their best form and get back in the running for the Serie A title.
Napoli are just two points off the pace from Juve , and will find out after the Juventus game, whether they can go top or not. Inter, meanwhile, have 31 points from 15 games, two less than their opponents on Sunday.
"We must play like Inter," Inter manager Andrea Stamaccioni said. "We have three (league) matches before the break and we must do the best we can in them, starting tomorrow (Sunday). I'm utterly convinced we'll produce a real Inter performance.
"I think the games against Juventus, Fiorentina and AC Milan made us realise that we're in the mix, that we can compete against anyone, biggest regret. Having said that, we've learnt and improved after our defeats as well. Tomorrow we have a great opportunity against a direct rival, a team in top form -- it will be wonderful game."
Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri said the game, while being an important one, was not a decider to who will contest for the title, and Stramaccioni agreed with his counterpart. "I agree with Mazzarri, no game can be decisive at this stage of the season," he said. "It is a six-pointer, not make or break, but it is a six-pointer. And it's important for us.
"With Mazzarri, Napoli have reached the peak of their current cycle. In many ways we're at the opposite end of the spectrum, in the sense that we're in the first year of a new project."
The Inter boss then went on to praise Napoli duo Edinson Cavani and Marek Hamsik. "Cavani is an exceptional player, a lovely lad and a true professional," he added. "He's living up to the status of one of the world's best strikers. It's rare to see someone who can combine the physical characteristics he has with such talent.
"He helps out defensively, he's the perfect example of a modern forward. Hamsik gives them an extra gear -- he's got incredible stamina and amazing attacking prowess. At the moment Hamsik is the reason Napoli are as good as they are, because Cavani, while extraordinary, is a striker, and the opposition's defence can pick him up on their radar."
Wesley Sneijder has not been named in the squad again for Inter as his contract dispute continues, while Walter Samuel is suspended. Antonio Cassano, however, is expected to start after missing the last three Serie A games.
For Napoli, Goran Pandev is a doubt, but is expected to make at least the squad.
