Newcastle will look to continue their recovery from a horrible four match losing run, when they visit Fulham in the English Premier League Monday.
The Magpies got their first win in six games last Monday, a 3-0 win over Wigan, and Alan Pardew will hope to carry on the momentum against a Fulham side smarting from the 3-0 loss to Tottenham last weekend.
The Londoners have fallen down the table to 13th on 17 points from 15 matches, while Newcastle are a place below them, but equal on points.
"Every Premier League game brings its own difficulties, so it doesn't really matter too much who the opposition is," Pardew said.
"It's about ourselves and we produced a level of football against Wigan and Stoke that has buoyed us all on the training ground, and you can see that. There's definitely a stronger attitude to attack games.
"They (Fulham) are a good side and they play very, very well at home, so it's a tough encounter.
"Last year, we probably played our best half of football in the first half. Unfortunately, the second half was probably our worst, so we are hoping we don't put in that Jekyll and Hyde performance that we did last year."
Pardew's injury worries have considerably decreased with Hatem Ben Arfa expected to be passed fit, along with the likes of David Santon, Cheick Tiote, Gabriel Obertan and Demba Ba. Jonas Guttierez could also be in contention, depending on how quickly he shakes off his knee injury.
Fulham will also have some good news on player availability, with Martin Jol welcoming back skipper Brede Hangeland, who has missed the last three games through suspension.
"He brings consistency to the side," Jol said. "He plays all the games. I can't remember him being injured so he's always there and he's always available.
"I remember last season when we played the qualification matches (for the Europa League) and I told Brede that maybe it's better to rest him but he didn't want to do that and we played so many games before we even started the league.
"He wanted to play all these games so he's a very good professional and I think he's brought a lot to this club. He's also an easy person to get on with and he's a perfect pro."
Alex Kacaniklic is also back for Fulham after recovering from an hamstring injury, although right-back Sascha Riether is a doubt. Bryan Ruiz still faces a further month out.
