Super Bowl Sketches: Austin Translation Does Quarter By Quarter Interpretations (PHOTOS)

Everybody likes to get in on the Super Bowl fun. For artist Austin Translation, he took his skills and creatively depicted a quarter by quarter interpretation of what took place in each period during the Baltimore Ravens vs. San Francisco 49ers game.

Usually, there's a play-by-play online of the game and of course a play-by-play announcer assigned with the station broadcasting the big game. Austin Translation took it to another level and took it quarter by quarter.

First Quarter Depiction
Four ravens attack a cowboy. They are flying right at him and the cowboy is knocked off his feet with his tongue sticking out in the air. Joe Flacco and Anquan Boldin smacked the 49ers with a score and took a 7-3 lead.

Second Quarter Depiction
The cowboy is now being raised in the air by these ravens and he looks scared and confused.  There are clouds in the background and from what we know, cowboys belong on the ground with their horses, not in the air.

This is a direct interpretation of the score. By the time the first half was over, the Ravens had a 21-6 lead.

Third Quarter Depiction
Nobody's going to forget what happened in this Super Bowl's third quarter. Jacoby Jones ran the kickoff back and the Ravens had a 28-6 lead, but suddenly, the lights went out. Conspiracy theories took over, but people at the Superdome knew a power outage could occur.

Austin Translation showed black scribbles on the page. There was nothing but darkness in the Superdome.

However, once the action began, the 49ers gained speed and made a comeback. The cowboy is firing lasers from his eyes a la Cyclops from X-Men. One raven that once terrorized the cowboy is now featherless and cooked. Score was 28-23 Ravens at the conclusion of the third quarter.

Fourth Quarter Depiction
The Ravens held on and to the lead. The 49ers threatened, but they couldn't punch it in for the score at the conclusion of the game. The final score was 34-31 in their favor and the cowboy in the depiction is a scarecrow skeleton with the ravens are hanging around on his shoulders.
