Giants Release Bradshaw and Canty Twitter and Radio Reactions from Fans

The New York Giants released Chris Canty and Ahmad Bradshaw Wednesday afternoon. As always, the fans had thoughts and they couldn't keep silent. For the most part, there weren't any fans upset, most of them were pretty shocked.

Here's what fans thought about Bradshaw.

There's two "whoas" and then others are mentioning Wilson, who's the guy expected to take over the starting running back role after the release of Bradshaw.

David Wilson fumbled in his first game of the season. He cried on the bench and then stepped it up in the second half of the season. Wilson wrapped up his first NFL season with 358 yards on 71 carries and four touchdowns.

The other guy the Giants will count on is Ande Brown, who after being cut by five teams, found a home in New York scoring eight touchdowns and rushing for 385 yards.

As far as Canty, a lot of people didn't have reactions on Twitter, but there was a fan who payed respect to the former Giants lineman.

Maybe fans agreed with the cut as Canty was bound to make over $12 million in the next two seasons.

On the radio, however, fans were more boistrous. ESPN spoke with Canty live on the air and he was very understanding despite being shocked. The eight-year veteran understands that contracts in the NFL are not guaranteed and by no means does he hold anything against the Giants.

Brian from New Jersey told Michael Kay that the Canty cut was uncalled for, "Canty was getting to the quarterback. He was doing good things on defense so I'm a little bit upset about that."

J.P. from Brooklyn was a bit more comical about the situation despiite being upset about the situation. "It's a sad day in Giants land. Please, please don't say Tuck, don't say Umenyiora. Maybe if they don't hear us talking about them they won't trade them or cut them."

This fan shows distrust in the Giants organization, but shows that the NFL is a league that guarantees nothing to its players and fans. No player is ever safe and maybe only quarterbacks since they are tough to come by, have a guaranteed spot on a roster as long as they are healthy.

The Giants might also part ways with Osi Umenyiora guaranteeing only Jason Pierre-Paul and Justin Tuck will be back on the defensive end.
