All eyes will be on one man as Ryan Giggs prepares to make his 1000th senior appearance when Manchester United take on Norwich City in the English Premier League Saturday.
Giggs is expected to complete this remarkable feat against Chris Hughton's side, and will want to cap off the mark by scoring a goal, just like he did in the 2-0 win over QPR last weekend in his 999th appearance.
Twelve points clear, and with the Premier League title as good as sealed, United will have half an eye on the massive Champions League clash against Real Madrid, and that just might be the opening that visitors Norwich will look to take advantage of.
Sir Alex Ferguson is such a master of balancing squads and teams, however, making sure that the right players are available at the right times and at their optimum level, and the United manager will know a win will take them 15 points clear of Manchester City, who only play Aston Villa on Monday.
Norwich were the last team to beat United in the league, back on Nov. 17, 2012 at Carrow Road.
So, Sir Alex Ferguson will have a little bit of revenge in mind when the Canaries arrive at Old Trafford, and a bit of a backlash can be expected from the side that have lost only one home game this season.
While several players are expected to be rested for Saturday's game, with Real Madrid set to arrive for the second leg on Tuesday, Ferguson is still expected to put out a strong side.
Robin Van Persie is available after suffering a painful hip injury in the game against QPR, but Phil Jones (ankle) is ruled out. Wayne Rooney is expected to start, after coming on as a late substitute against QPR, while Paul Scholes (knee) might recover in time.
Norwich will agaon be without John Ruddy, Alexander Tettey and Andrew Surman, and Hughton might be tempted to stick with the same XI that defeated Everton last weekend.
"Last Saturday was a big win for us against an excellent side," Hughton told Sky Sports. "To go into a game at Old Trafford after defeat makes it a bit harder. There's been a good feel in the camp this week.
"United have only lost one game at home this season, so the magnitude of the task is still there, but we are certainly better going into it for the result of last weekend.
"The win over United was one of our best performances this season. For us to repeat that at Old Trafford would take a huge effort but we're ready."
Expected lineups: Manchester United: De Gea; Rafael, Smalling, Evans, Evra; Nani, Anderson, Cleverley, Young; Rooney, Hernandez.
Norwich: Bunn; Martin, Bassong, Turner, Garrido; Howson, Johnson; Snodgrass, Hoolahan, Pilkington; Holt.
Prediction: 2-0 to United
