EPL Transfer News: Dzeko Could Leave in the Summer Admits Mancini; Manager Coy on the Future of Toure

With Manchester City expected to make quite a few changes to their squad next season, manager Roberto Mancini admitted the likes of Edin Dzeko could be on their way out of the Etihad stadium, while remaining coy on the future of Kolo Toure.

Dzeko is City's top scorer this season with 13 goals in all competitions, but has been linked with a move away after finding it difficult to constantly make the starting XI.

The Bosnian international has been tipped to move back to the Bundesliga, where he enjoyed so much success with Wolfsburg, although Borussia Dortmund, reported to be the 26-year-old's biggest suitors, denied any interest.

"This is total nonsense and not funny anymore," Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp told SID. "Dzeko is a good player but he is sadly out of our possibilities."

Dzeko has also been linked with a move to Italy, with Inter Milan, particularly, holding a strong interest.

While Mancini has maintained he would like to keep his strikeforce intact, the Italian admitted there was a possibility Dzeko could move on in the summer, although he will cost potential suitors at least €20 million (£17.5 million, $26 million).

"Edin is an important player for us," Mancini told Sky Italia. "At this time we have not spoken about the transfer market as there are still 10 games to go.

"But in June anything can happen. If a player asks me to leave, we will evaluate the situation, this applies for all players.

"Dzeko for me is a great player. In Italy he could score more than 20 goals a season. But he would cost €20 million, maybe more."

Meanwhile, a player who could yet stay at the Etihad for another year is Kolo Toure, with reports suggesting the former Arsenal defender was set to be given a new one-year contract. Toure's current deal expires in the summer.

The Ivory Coast international has excelled whenever given a chance this season and recently put in impressive performances against Chelsea and Aston Villa, while filling in for the injured Vincent Kompany.

Mancini said he was not sure if Toure would extend his stay with City for another year. "We don't know at this moment," he said. "What is important is that he continues to play the way he did on Monday night and against Chelsea.

"Kolo is a really professional player and deserves to have the satisfaction of those performances. He has done really well and we will see. I am happy for him because he is a good guy."
