Danica Patrick is no stranger to headlines and she has received even more since her relationship with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. went public back in February and now the two have taken a trip to the Hoover Dam while in Las Vegas for a NASCAR race.

Patrick posted a picture of the couple on Instagram and Twitter, writing along with the photo of her and Stenhouse at the Dam, "That Hoover Dam is no joke! It's huge and beautiful!"

The couple has been racing together for multiple years and their relationship turned romantic after Patrick divorced from her husband late last year. The two met while racing on the Nationwide circuit, where they became fast friends.

Patrick had an incident in Las Vegas ahead of this weekend's event, as she was hit in the head with a rock while watching a dirt track race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. She was not seriously hurt and did not need any further medical attention.

The hit on her head comes just one week after she crashed her car in Phoenix after losing a tire in the Sunday event, after which she was smashed into by David Ragan's car.

"I feel like I got a concussion last night when I got hit with a rock at the [Las Vegas Motor Speedway] dirt track," Patrick said Friday to ESPN.com. "It's really sore. It hit me straight in the head, and I went to the ground. Good thing I had a hat on, or I feel there would have been blood."

Patrick finished 10th on the circuit last year after earning 838 points while starting in 33 races and won one pole, finishing 413 points behind. She had some of her best performances last year ahead of her first full season on the Sprint Cup circuit and she finished in the top 20 just once after placing 17th at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Phoenix. She also made 10 Sprint Cup starts last year and led 40 laps in the Nationwide circuit.

This season her and Stenhouse are both rookies on the Sprint Cup and is he is coming off two straight Nationwide championships. Last season on the circuit, Patrick finished in the top 10 four different times and earned over $750,000 and she did a great job at Darlington, one of the toughest tracks in the circuit, making it through all 513 laps in two events and finishing 12th and 31st.

Stenhouse is on the sprint Cup circuit after replacing 2003 NASCAR champion Matt Kenseth, while Patrick is running the number 10 car for GoDaddy.com.
