Arnold Palmer is hosting his invitational tournament starting on Thursday and he made one invitation that will turn everyone's head, as the golfer is set to have dinner with superstar model Kate Upton at the event.
According to the Associated Press, Palmer mentioned in a story about him that Upton would be coming to the tournament. Palmer has run the event for years and the report says that Palmer and the model's father know each other and that she will help out at the event, including with social media and other programs.
From the AP: "Did you see this?" Palmer said, holding up the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue with Upton on the cover. "She's coming here. Did you know that?"
He put it back on his desk, gave it one last look, and then grabbed a stack of papers to place over the magazine.
"I better cover this up," he said.
Upton is originally from Florida and is one of the world's most recognizable models after appearing on the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue twice. She is also a big golf fan and will help with the "Arnold Palmer" drink social media campaign while also working with hospitals in the area for one of Palmer's programs.
Upton is known as a sports fan and she has appeared in commercials for MLB The Show and also has attended many sporting events as a guest.
