Jose Mourinho continued to play around with the Chelsea fans' hopes, by dropping the biggest hint yet of a possible return to Stamford Bridge.
The Real Madrid manager is widely expected to leave the Spanish club in the summer, and has been linked with a return to Chelsea, where he enjoyed so much success.
Mourinho has maintained his love for the English Premier League, and has always said he would love to make a comeback to England at some point in time.
There have been several reports suggesting, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has been in touch with the Portuguese over a return, as the Russian billionaire continues to look for a permanent manager, with current interim Rafa Benitez set to leave at the of the season.
Mourinho, who is also interesting Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City, is no stranger to drama, and he added yet another chapter to the "will he or won't he return saga," by saying there is a good chance he could lead a side which he has already managed next season.
"I have an adventurous spirit and do not know what will happen next season," he told Football Italia.
"It's not easy to choose a new destination after working in England, Portugal, Italy and Spain. Maybe I could return to somewhere I've already been. Watch out for surprises."
Those quotes of course could also mean that he is planning to re-sign for Inter Milan, the club he won the Champions League with recently.
However, the likelihood of a return to Chelsea increased when one of Mourinho's former support staff tweeted the Portuguese was on his way to London.
Next to a picture of Stamford Bridge, Mourinho's former Porto youth coach Rui Sa Lemos posted, "Mourinho's home next year."
He also earlier wrote, "I'm not guessing. I'm giving news."
The Twitter account was later taken down, but it does add to the intrigue a little bit more.
Mourinho will have the opportunity to hold talks with the Chelsea hierarchy on Monday, with the 50-year-old set to visit Stamford Bridge to watch the international friendly between Brazil and Russia, after accepting an invitation from the Brazilian F.A.
Meanwhile, another name to be linked with the manager's job -- Gianfranco Zola -- said he has not been contacted by the club over taking over in the summer.
Chelsea legend Zola is currently managing Watford and has done exceedingly well with the club currently third in the Championship.
"No one from Chelsea has spoken to me," Zola told the Daily Mail. "I am respectful for what Watford have done for me and I am focusing on getting the job done here.
"I really don't know what is around the corner for me, but whatever happens to me is all down to this experience because I have to prove myself as a manager. I am enjoying what we are doing at Watford."
