The Miami Heat are staking out their claim as one of the best teams in NBA history, as they extended their winning streak to 27 games on Monday night with a victory over the Orlando Magic.
LeBron James is having himself another MVP season and he nearly had a triple double in the game with 24 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds as the Heat won 108-94 to continue their streak. James had some fun after the game, dropping into Ray Allen's television interview and photobombing the screen with a grin, a similar move to what Chris Bosh did earlier in the year.
The game was tied at one point in the third quarter, but James took over despite Dwyane Wade being out and the team emerged victorious again. Chris Bosh and Ray Allen had 12 points each and now the team is even closer to the record winning streak of 33 by the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Magic were no match for the Heat and now the team has the second longest winning streak in American major sports after passing the New York baseball Giants, who won 26 games in the 1910s and the New England Patriots, who won 21 games in 2003 and 2004.
