Baltimore Ravens star Joe Flacco is a Super Bowl champion and one of the highest paid players in league history and he is ready to add another line to his resume as a movie actor, as the quarterback is set to portray Baltimore Colts great Johnny Unitas in an upcoming film.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Flacco, who is hot off his Super Bowl XLVII MVP award and record breaking contract, will now portray the Hall of Fame quarterback in the film "Unitas We Stand" for scenes that take place in the 1958 championship game, which is considered to be "The Greatest Game Ever Played."

Joe Unitas, the quarterback's son, confirmed the news and said that Flacco is the right type of player to portray his father and that the Baltimore connection was an important factor in the decision. Unitas appeared in a number of films after his career, including in "Any Given Sunday," "Runaway Bride" as well as an episode of the animated series "The Simpsons."

The film is expected to be released by next year's Super Bowl and filming is slated to begin in mid-July and will continue through the summer. The film was written by Unitas and is based on a book about the Hall of Fame quarterback and the producers are working to film the entire production in Baltimore. The report says that the budget is just under $13 million and a theatrical release is expected when a distribution deal is complete.

Flacco helped the Ravens win the Super Bowl by throwing zero interceptions and he turned his MVP win into a $120 million contract that he signed with Baltimore in the offseason.
