Will he or won't he? That is the question.
The question which will be on everyone's minds when Barcelona host Paris Saint Germain in the second leg quarterfinal tie of the Champions League.
Lionel Messi, Barcelona's talisman, had to be taken off at halftime in the first leg, and remains a doubt for the crucial fixture at the Camp Nou, with the match very much in the balance at 2-2.
Barca are the favorites, of course, having scored two away goals, and if they put up anything like the performance against AC Milan, then PSG are in for a hammering.
However, the catalyst of that 4-0 win over Milan was the little Argentine, and there is no doubt PSG will think they have a really decent chance of creating an upset without Messi in the Barca lineup.
Messi underwent a scan Monday, and doctors have reportedly advised the club to leave him on the substitutes' bench at best.
However, the Barca superstar does have a remarkable record of recovery and it will not come as much of a surprise if he does indeed end up being named in the starting lineup.
Barca do have other injury concerns, with Javier Mascherano ruled out along with Carles Puyol, meaning Marc Bartra or Alex Song will have to play in the center of defence.
Pedro Rodriguez and Adriano are also doubts, but the Spanish club were buoyed by the return of Eric Abidal after receiving a liver transplant last year.
"We're suffering a lot of injuries at the back," Xavi said. "Puyol has had an operation. Abidal has come back from a long and serious problem. Adriano is injured, now Mascherano... We're having no luck at the back.
"But we'll have eleven players, that's for sure, and we'll see what the boss decides to do. There are players to bring in as substitutes.
"We're optimistic because we know we're playing at home, but PSG have a great team, they're quick up front and play well on the counter. They're no small fries, they're a big team."
Usually when Messi is absent, the other players in the Barca lineup step up. So the likes of Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta will have a lot of responsibility on their shoulders - not that they ever fail to produce the goods anyway.
Cesc Fabregas shone with a hat-trick against Mallorca at the weekend, and the former Arsenal playmaker might again be given the chance to shine in the Argentine's absence.
PSG also have a few worries with midfielder Blaise Matuidi suspended, while inspirational defender Thiago Silva is a doubt through injury, along with his central defensive partner Alex - both players have been included in the squad though.
David Beckham started the first leg against Barcelona, and had to face the brunt of much criticism from the French press. It is likely that Carlo Ancelotti will use Marco Verratti and Thiago Motta in midfield, with Beckham consigned to the bench.
One man who cannot be ignored is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and on his return to his former club, the Swede might just have a thing or two to say on the outcome of the tie.
Expected lineups: Barcelona: Valdes; Alves, Pique, Bartra, Alba; Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta; Sanchez. Fabregas, Villa.
PSG: Sirigu; Van Der Wiel, Thiago, Alex, Maxwell; Verratti, Motta; Lucas, Pastore, Lavezzi; Ibrahimovic.
Prediction: 3-1 to Barcelona
