College Football is still a ways down the road for next season, but as spring practice start up around the nation a number of teams are getting ready to challenge Alabama for the national title, as Nebraska, Florida, Louisville, Notre Dame and Florida State start preparations in spring practices.

The Cornhuskers got off to an inspirational start, as the team welcomed seven year old cancer patient Jack Hoffman to their practice over the weekend, giving him the chance to live one of his dreams: running for a touchdown with Nebraska. The team brought him out onto the field for the team's spring scrimmage and the boy scored a 70-yard touchdown to close out the game while over 60,000 fans cheered for him.

The entire Nebraska football team followed him down the field after a handoff from quarterback Taylor Martinez and scampered in for the touchdown. Dressed in number 22, Hoffman ran on the fourth down for the red scrimmage team and he inspired the whole team and the stadium with his run, getting a standing ovation and a lift from the players.

The crowd literally went crazy as Hoffman scored a touchdown on the field and the entire team lifted him up and cheered him on afterwards. The team has been very supportive of Hoffman, who is a huge Nebraska fan and they made his dream come true with the touchdown.

The Florida Gators got their practices started off fast and the team has been working with quarterback Jeff Driskel to get more comfortable in the offense in his second season and they also are trying to find a replacement for Sharrif Floyd, who is expected to be a top 10 draft pick. Florida State needs a replacement for EJ Manuel and so far Jacob Coker and Jameis Winston are challenging Clint Trickett to get the nod.

Notre Dame is working to rebound after losing to Alabama in the BCS title game last season, while Ohio State is looking to repeat their undefeated season in 2013 under coach Urban Meyer.
