Cleveland Browns Draft Rumors: Dee Milliner Says Playoffs For Team If Picked As Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions Want Corner

The Cleveland Browns have a number of areas to take care of in the upcoming NFL draft and if it were up to one prospect, the team would draft a cornerback with that pick and that corner would be Dee Milliner.

According to Cantonrep.com, Milliner spoke on the radio in Cleveland this week and said that if the team drafts him with the number six pick, they can be a playoff team this season. Milliner is considered to be the best cornerback in the draft and is likely to go in the top 10 to someone, possibly even earlier like the Jaguars or Eagles at number four.

Milliner spoke about Browns corner Joe Haden, who the team picked in the first round previously, saying that he is one of his favorite players to study. Milliner was an essential part to the title run by Alabama and he is considered an impact player right from draft day, meaning he likely would start for whoever drafts him as he is "NFL ready."

The Browns have many needs on defense and since they have Haden, a corner is not a priority. The team has been looking at a number of players, including Dion Jordan, Sharrif Floyd as well as quarterbacks Ryan Nassib and Geno Smith. The team also could try to get the Bills to trade up, as they like Nassib and may want to draft him with the eighth pick.

The Browns have made a number of improvements this offseason, including bringing in Jason Campbell to compete with Brandon Weeden and the team also signed Paul Kruger from the Baltimore Ravens. Other moves include the tradeoff Colt McCoy, which could open up a quarterback in the draft, as well as signing a tight end.
