The NFL draft is one of the most anticipated events on the NFL calendar and this season things will bet going on Thursday, April 25 live from Radio City Music Hall at 8 p.m., followed by the second round and third rounds on Friday starting at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN.
The draft has gotten bigger in coverage and scale over the years and this season it will go from Thursday to Saturday as rounds four through seven will be on the final day and starting at noon. The first round will be presented in primetime, while the second and third will follow. The draft will be live on NFL Network and on ESPN and ESPN Radio for the duration.
The Chiefs have the first overall selection and are expected to take a lineman, while the Jacksonville Jaguars pick second and could take Geno Smith. The Oakland Raiders are third and will likely go defense with Dee Milliner, while the Eagles are fourth and could select Dion Jordan. The Lions will take Milliner if he is thre ar five, while the Browns and Cardinals could take Smith or Ryan Nassib as well as defensive options.
The Bills and Jets are also in the running for quarterbacks, while the Titans will go defense and the Chargers will take Lane Johnson if he is there. The Dolphins may go offense as well, while the Bucs will take defense if they like their guy there. The Panthers and Saints have depth issues all over, while the Rams will likely go defense ahead of the Steelers, who will take a linebacker.
The Cowboys could go defense as well, while the Giants may take a lineman on offense or defense ahead of the Bears, who may go tight end or linebacker after losing Brian Urlacher. The Rams and Bengals will go defense while the rest of the draft will be wide open.
