The NBA schedule is finishing up this week before the playoffs start on Saturday and while a number of playoff matchups are already set in stone, some others still need to be figured out, including if the Lakers or Rockets will have the eighth spot after the two teams play on Wednesday.
The league has 15 games in action, including the Boston Celtics, who will be playing for the first time since the bombing attack on the marathon on Monday. The game on Tuesday against the Pacers was cancelled and it will not be made up, marking the first time that teams will not have played the same amount of games after the season is over.
In the East the Knicks are set to play the Celtics, while the Heat will be playing the Bucks in the first round. As of Wednesday morning the Pacers will take on the Hawks, while the Bulls will play the Brooklyn Nets in the four-five matchup. In the West, the Clippers will play the Grizzlies, while the Nuggets and Warriors will face off. The Rockets currently play the Spurs and the Thunder plays the Lakers, but that could change based on tonight's game.
The schedule includes the Knicks and Hawks in New York, the Raptors and Celtics on the road in Toronto, as well as the Pistons and Nets, while the Cavaliers will play the Bobcats. The Magic and Heat finish the season in Florida while the Jazz and Grizzlies play in Memphis. The Wizards take on the Bulls, while the Hornets and Mavericks will face off.
The Timberwolves and Spurs play on Wednesday, as do the Bucks and Thunder as well as the Suns and Nuggets. The last games are Rockets Lakers and Clippers Kings, while the Warriors and Trail Blazers play in Portland.
