Manchester United Transfer News: Lewandowski Has Reached an Agreement With Another Club, According to His Agent

Manchester United target Robert Lewandowski has already agreed a deal with another club, according to his agent.

Lewandowski has been the subject of intense speculation in the last few months, after it became clear the prolific forward would not be signing a new deal with Borussia Dortmund.

His current contract expires in 2014, and Dortmund are expected to sell the 24-year-old, instead of risk losing him on a free, even if the German club might say otherwise.

There has been constant speculation linking Lewandowski to either Bayern Munich or Manchester United, with some reports suggesting he had already agreed a move to Bayern. Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes' agent claimed a deal had definitely been agreed for Lewandowski to sign for the German champions.

That now seems like reality, with the Polish international's agent Maik Barthel claiming an agreement had been reached, although he did not name the club.

"We have reached an agreement with another club and intend to switch clubs this summer," Barthel told Sport Bild.

"All of Borussia Dortmund's demands will be met."

Barthel said Dortmund had ensured his client they would not stand in the way of the move, as long as all the conditions were met by the buying club.

"There is an interesting offer for Robert that meets Dortmund's criteria and satisfies Robert's demands," he added.

"BVB have assured us that Robert will be allowed to leave under these circumstances. It's now up to the clubs to sort it out."

Bayern Munich look like the most likely candidates, and if indeed Lewandowski makes a switch to the Allianz Arena, it will not go down too well with the Dortmund fans, or indeed the competency of the Bundesliga, with the German champions already having sealed a move for the excellent Mario Gotze.

Manchester United might be in with a chance, as Dortmund would clearly prefer to sell Lewandowski to a club outside Germany, and Sir Alex Ferguson will be looking to take advantage of that fact.

Dortmund general manager Hanz-Joachim Watzke had on Wednesday denied the cub were looking to sell Lewandowski in the summer transfer window, insisting they would much rather let him go on a free at the end of next season.

Watzke, in reply to Barthel's claims, again insisted Dortmund had not received an official offer from any club so far.

"No, that is not true," he told SID. "We don't have any offer of another club. We will talk about everything with Robert."
