Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho insisted he never told Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp he would be moving back to Chelsea in the summer.
Mourinho is widely expected to leave Real at the end of the season, with former club Chelsea touted as the likeliest destination.
Several reports have claimed the Portuguese has already agreed a deal with Roman Abramovich to take over at Stamford Bridge, after sorting out the differences with the billionaire Russian owner.
Germany newspaper Bild, which first broke the Mario Gotze to Bayern Munich transfer, claimed Klopp had been told by Mourinho of his intention to leave Real Madrid for Chelsea in the summer.
It was claimed Mourinho had confirmed the news to Klopp after their Champions League semifinal first leg clash in Dortmund.
However, Klopp angrily hit out at the reports at the weekend, insisting he would never reveal any private conversations between himself and other coaches.
"It's a ridiculous story," Klopp said. "I've never told anyone that Mourinho is going to Chelsea or another club. I'm not a person who does things like this.
"I heard this story before the game against Fortuna and I had to make sure that people knew I was very sad and angry, because it is totally false, a story invented one hundred percent.
"Mourinho is a colleague, a friend and it would never occur to me to play with something like that."
Mourinho also confirmed he had never mentioned any such news to Klopp. "I never told Klopp that I was going to Chelsea," the Portuguese told reporters on the eve of the Champions League semifinal second leg clash against Dortmund.
The former Inter Milan boss, however, refused to pledge his future to Real Madrid, saying he was only concentrating on the crucial semifinal clash, which Real trail 4-1 after the first leg.
"My future doesn't depend on what happens Tuesday," he added.
"Will it be my last game? I am only thinking about the match against Dortmund. It's the most important game of the past 10 years for Madrid.
"My future is not on my mind."
