The agent of Gareth Bale, Jonathan Barnett, admitted his client would be ready to sign for Real Madrid if an acceptable offer was put on the table in the summer transfer window.
The Tottenham forward has been in scintillating form this season, winning almost every available individual award in England in the process.
However, his wonderful exploits still could not help Tottenham seal a place in the Champions League next season, with rivals Arsenal pipping them to the post.
Real Madrid have been tracking Bale for quite a while now and are expected to make a bid in the region of £60 million ($91 million) to tempt Spurs to sell the 23-year-old.
Real president Florentino Perez fuelled speculation over an impending move by saying Bale would be perfect for the Spanish giants.
"Gareth Bale was born to play in Real Madrid," he told Cadena Cope.
Barnett, speaking on the Futboleros show on Marca TV, said a move to Real Madrid would please Bale, but the final decision would be made by Spurs.
"If Florentino is interested in Gareth Bale, then that would be an honor and we would listen, but his contract is with Tottenham," he said.
"We are not free to talk to anyone."
Reports have suggested Spurs have offered Bale a highly lucrative new contract to keep him for at least another season, but Barnett insisted he had not discussed a new deal with the English Premier League side.
"No, we have not talked to anybody," he added. "I do not know if there has already been an offer. What I know is that the player has three years left on his contract."
Barnett also believes Bale is much more valuable than Neymar, who signed for Barcelona after rejecting the advances of Real, and has earned that respect having performed so admirably in a difficult and competitive league like the Premier League.
"He is a much better player than Neymar, he has proven himself in one of the best leagues in the world, the Premier League," Barnett said.
"And I would hope any club wanting him, would not want him because they lost out on Neymar but because he was first choice.
"This is all crazy, but whatever Neymar cost -- Gareth Bale is worth more."
