Murray is looking to make another appearance at the Wimbledon Men's Singles final. Only that this year, Murray will look to win the title and become the first British player to win the championship at Wimbledon in over 70 years. Murray came extremely close to defeating Roger Federer last season, but Wimbledon is Federer's tournament.
Murray enters this grand slam tournament well rested after taking time out from the French Open to heal his ailing back. Murray also comes into this tournament, ranked a surprising No. 2 in Men's Singles. Many wondered why, but as the Wimbledon runner-up in 2012, Murray was placed higher in the rankings ahead of Federer, who owns Wimbledon and a Rafael Nadal, who has come back from injuries with a vengeance and fresh off a French Open victory.
Becker, the 32-year-old, comes into the tournament ranked 105th in Men's Singles. He hasn't faired well in grand slam tournaments, making his most successful run back in 2006 at the U.S. Open, where he eliminated the great Andre Agassi and made it to the fourth round of the tournament. Though Becker's legacy will always be slaying a legend in his final appearance on a court, Murray is expected to easily get by Becker and advance to the second round of the tournament.
