New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is having a hell of a day and now that he has been arrested and released by the team, the next step for the tight end is to find out what charges he will be stuck with and that will happen when he is arraigned in court.
According to Pro Football Talk and local media, Hernandez's charges will not come out until he appears in court and then following that, Bristol District Attorney C. Samuel Sutter said he will meet with the press to discuss. Hernandez will appear at the Attleboro Court today after the arrest and now he is a man without a team after being released.
The team is taking a high cap hit for releasing him and it comes after they gave him a $40 million extension previously on his contract. He will appear in court to face the charges and depending on what happens, things could get even worse. Hernandez has been connected to the murder of Odin Lloyd and the connection comes as the tight end dated the site of the woman Lloyd dated. The two were seen together on video the night of the murder and the case has also brought attention to Hernandez's past.
Police searched a pond and his mansion him for hours and after finding evidence, they decided to arrest him. He could end up facing charges for obstruction, as he destroyed his cell phone and home security system and also had a cleaning crew come to the house afterwards. He will be in court on Wednesday and he was not afforded the ability to turn himself in and instead was brought out by police and placed into a car while wearing sneakers and shorts and white shirt.
Hernandez could be facing more punishment from the NFL once the case becomes clearer and there was confusion about his arrest warrant until today. The other two men in the case have not been identified and Hernandez was reportedly seen with Lloyd the night of the murder. Police said he was shot multiple times and the place where the body was found was where he was killed and it was a mile from the tight end's home.
