The case involving former New England Patriots Aaron Hernandez took another turn on Wednesday as he was brought into court to be arraigned after being arrested and the former tight end was charged with murder in the homicide of Odin Lloyd.
According to ESPN.com, Hernandez was charged with six counts, including one for murder, as well as five other counts relating to gun charges in the murder of Odin Lloyd. In court, tons of details have come out about the case, including what happened on the night that Lloyd was killed and it was confirmed that Lloyd was with Hernandez on the night of the murder. The body was found a mile from the home and he is now charged with murder and multiple gun charges for unlawful possession of a firearm.
Hernandez is being represented by Michael Fee and Jamie Sultan and in court text messages were read from Lloyd and Hernandez was seen on video with Lloyd and there are also issues with his rental cars and a mirror on one of the cars. Shell casings were found at the scene and in one of the rental cars and there also are details coming about where Lloyd was shot, including in the back and the chest. The evidence was collected over a number of days after Hernandez was found to be in connection with the murder and now tire impressions and other details have tied him to the case.
According it the court testimony, Hernandez was upset with Lloyd after he spoke to some people he had a problem with at a night club. Lloyd's text messages that night show that he was with Hernandez and eventually shell casings from a semi auto weapon and it was found that Lloyd had all his possessions on him, so it likely wasn't about a robbery.
Hernandez had his home searched and they found ammunition that matched casings and the gun found at the scene and they also found other guns in the home of the tight end. Hernandez is now facing serious charges as it comes to firearms and murder and the details found in court show that he has some deep connections to Lloyd the night of the murder. Hernandez was in possession of multiple firearms and the text messages and surveillance footage is immense from what was said in court. The lawyer said that Hernandez orchestrated the execution of Lloyd and that it stemmed from trust issues at that club after he spoke to people.
