Aaron Hernandez is in jail awaiting trial for the murder of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd and in the meantime his fiancé and girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins has gone into hiding and has not spoken publically about the case to anyone yet.
According to Radar Online, Jenkins was previously talking to police about the case before she was stopped by Hernandez in the early stages of the investigation and now she may be compelled to talk again. Reports have come out since Hernandez's arrest of violent incidents involving Jenkins, including a domestic disturbance call to an apartment of Hernandez's in California. While she is not facing any criminal charges currently, if she has information and refuses to give it to police, that could change.
Jenkins' sister Shaneah was dating Odin Lloyd when he was murdered and that was the original connection between the three and Hernandez. The four reportedly went out and hung out as a group together and now that a secret apartment has also been revealed, police may want to know more about what information Jenkins has.
One accomplice in custody, Carlos Ortiz, has reportedly given the police information, revealing a secret apartment where they found a number of pieces of evidence that could tie Hernandez to the murder, including clothing, ammo and other items. Jenkins may have information about things that Hernandez was involved in as well as other places that evidence could be stashed.
The entire ordeal began when a body was discovered less than a mile from Hernandez's home in North Attleboro. After he was arrested, the tight end was released by the Patriots and at his hearing and arraignment, he was denied bail both items and now is in solitary while awaiting trial. Patriots fans were permitted to exchange his jersey for other members of the team and they have distanced themselves from the tight end.
Hernandez was considered one of the top tight ends in the NFL and now his past with the team and at Florida with the Gators has been scrutinized, as he was involved in a fight as well as a shooting while in school. Teams in the NFL may now be weary of drafting certain players with troubled histories now that Hernandez has been accused of murder.
