Aaron Hernandez is already behind bars and stands accused of orchestrating the murder of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd and now one of his accomplices, Ernest Wallace, is expected to be arraigned on Monday on charges connected to the crime.
According to NBC Sports, authorities in Massachusetts will file charges on Monday against Wallace when he appears in court and he stands accused of being an accessory to the murder. Wallace was transported from Florida to the Bay state after turning himself in and according to reports, the Bristol County District Attorney's office will arraign him in court on Monday.
The court appearance could bring new facts and information to light regarding the murder of Lloyd and depending on what comes up, Hernandez could be tied even closer to the murder than he already is. Authorities have said that the murder sparked from an incident at a nightclub where Lloyd disrespected Hernandez and Wallace and another man, Carlos Ortiz, allegedly travelled to North Attleboro to help the former Patriots tight end with the murder. Ortiz is in custody and he reportedly is helping the police, as he gave information that connected Hernandez to a secret flop house.
That location turned up what could be key pieces of evidence, including clothing and ammunition. Hernandez was tied to the murder through video surveillance and text messages, as well as shell casings that were found at the scene. A grand jury is investigating the crime as well and has started to call witnesses.
Reports from the Boston Herald have also said that Hernandez is paying for a high-priced attorney for Wallace, making the information he possibly has more interesting. The DA was upset that he was assigned a public defender, as he said it was a waste of taxpayer money and David Meier, who is a defense attorney, will represent Wallace. Ortiz may have already turned on Hernandez for the June 17 murder and now he could be facing more charges later down the line depending on what information comes out.
