Ernest Wallace is facing accessory to murder charges for the shooting death of Odin Lloyd and he is connected to the case as one of the accessories to Aaron Hernandez, the former New England Patriots tight end.
Wallace will be held without bail after appearing at his arraignment on Monday and he was charged as an accessory to murder and pleaded not guilty in court. Wallace, who is from Florida and said to people in the court room, "I love you," and he will next be in court later in July. Wallace is being held in connection to the death of Lloyd, whose body was found in an industrial park located less than a mile from Hernandez's home.
Prosecutors said that Wallace and Ortiz were with Hernandez the night of the murder when Lloyd was taken to the industrial park, but they did not give any specifics about who pulled the trigger the night of the shooting. So far the investigation has determined that Lloyd was killed for disrespecting Hernandez by talking to the wrong people at a club.
Wallace was arrested in Florida and brought to Massachusetts and like Hernandez, he has pleaded not guilty. Hernandez was arrested almost two weeks ago and afterwards he was released by the Patriots, who allowed fans to exchange his jerseys for other players.
Hernandez was also held without bail Attleboro District Court Judge Daniel O'Shea on Monday said he will put out the search warrant materials on Tuesday afternoon. Motions to unseal the material were filed by both The Patriot Ledger and Taunton Gazette newspapers and their parent Gatehouse Media as well as the Associated Press, and by The Boston Globe, although the prosecution along with Hernandez's defense said that they did not want it released.
