NY Yankees vs. Texas Rangers Live Stream Coverage: Watch Online Free MLB Action at 8:05 PM As Matt Garza Gets First Start Since Trade and A-Rod Looking At Lifetime Ban?

The Texas Rangers and New York Yankees played an entertaining game on Tuesday night as the visiting team made a nice comeback with two runs in the ninth inning to win 5-4 and now the two teams will face off in the rubber match as Matt Garza gets his first start since being traded from the Cubs and he will pitch against Andy Pettitte.

The Yankees needed the win badly on Tuesday and now they have a chance to win the series after Brent Lillibridge hit the go-ahead single after Eduardo Nunez hit a triple to tie the game against closer Joe Nathan. The team now has the chance to win two in a row and the play happened after Nathan slipped on the mound and Nunez was able to take advantage. The Yankees have been dealing with questions about Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter and now they will get the chance to just play ball on Wednesday.

Joba Chamberlain ended up with the win and Mariano Rivera closed things out as he usually does for his 32nd save of the year. Nathan had previously had 15 straight save chances converted and now the streak is snapped and coming into the game the team was 51-0 when up after eight innings, but clearly that is done with. Derek Holland was at first scheduled to pitch on Wednesday, but with the addition of Garza he was pushed back and now the former Cubs starter will get another taste of the AL East when he faces the Yankees, something he did quite a bit after playing with the Rays for years.

The Rangers are 55-45 this season, but they have not been able to gain any ground in their division all month and now the Mariners are even getting somewhat close, as they won eight games in a row. Garza knows big games after pitching 2008 World Series for Tampa Bay and in the 2010 AL division series for the Rays against Texas and the Rangers now have their man after tryint to trade for him multiple times the year he was moved to the Cubs. The Yankees last faced Garza in 2010 and he has a 1-4 record with a 4.48 ERA in 12 games.
