Liverpool star Luis Suarez has been the center of attention lately after two failed transfer bids from Arsenal and after the team defeated the Thailand national football team in Bangkok in a pre-season tour game, those rumors will continue to swirl.

Suarez came off the bench for Liverpool in the 3-0 victory over Thailand and played in the last 29 minutes of the match and also added a shot that hit the crossbar. It was his second time making a substitute appearance in a match since coming back with the team after the Confederations Cup and now he will be the center of attention after all the Arsenal transfer rumors and bids. The team won after a goal from Coutinho as well as scores from Aspas and Gerrard for the third of the game at the 59 minute mark.

Arsenal bid for Suarez twice, including a £40,000,001 offer and while the star wants to leave Liverpool, the team has not been willing to sell him and there's a chance that it could play out over some time. Suarez said he wants to play in the Champions League and Owen added that he understood why he wanted to move along.

"Arsenal are a fabulous club and have got a great heritage, but Liverpool are as big - if not bigger," Owen said on BBC's Sportsweek. "I'd be very surprised if he were to move to Arsenal. Madrid or Barcelona would make more sense. I'm struggling to understand why he would leave and stay in England with Liverpool being the stature they are."

Sky Sports reported the £40 million offer and some reports have said that Chelsea and Real Madrid have been interested as well, with Arsenal being the top chaser. The bid was rejected on Wednesday and the main reason has been due to Suarez wanting to move to the Champions League. The 26-year-old star is one of the most coveted players and he showed why earlier this summer in the Confederations Cup after he scored three goals over four matches and helping pull his team into the semifinals. While Suarez has been clear he wants to leave the club, it could play out over some time and at some point the team may decide to make the move.
