Manchester United has been dealing with headlines regarding Wayne Rooney quite a bit lately and while the team has yet to make a major move during the summer transfer window, manager David Moyes has said that he not worried about it and that the club is attractive to stars despite the recent events.

Moyes spoke with PA Sport and said that Manchester United was not worried about other European teams spending big money and that they have no problems competing with other clubs for players. The club has had some struggles this summer while having bids rejected for Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas and Everton's Leighton Baines and on top of that they had to deal with Thiago Alcantara moving to Bayern Munich instead of United. The club is not sitting on its laurels though and according to reports, Moyes is already looking at Real Madrid's Luka Modric.

The club has added young Uruguayan player Guillermo Varela and the next step is to work on the issues with Wayne Rooney, who has been rumored to be moving this summer as well. Moyes has already suggested that Rooney be a backup for Robin van Persie and that has not set well with the star and the three are expected to speak when Moyes is back in London.

The club looked fine in its pre-season tour match in Australia against Hong Kong team Kitchee FC, winning 5-2 and that match left Jesse Lingard as the top scorer on the roster with four goals on tour and along with him, Danny Welbeck, Chris Smalling and Fabio all added goals before Adnan Januzaj scored one for Manchester United as well. Robin van Persie did not play in the natch and Moyes also kept Rio Ferdinand and Ryan Giggs out. Fulham defender Zesh Rehman was the one-known player in the Hong Kong lineup and Manchester United had an easy day in the match.
