The New York Knicks have made a number of solid moves this offseason by bringing back Pablo Prigioni and signing JR Smith and now the team has added some depth to the frontcourt for Carmelo Anthony and company, signing Jeremy Tyler to a contract.

According to Pro Basketball Talk, the Knicks signed Tyler to a contract after he played during the summer league and averaged 12 points on 56 percent shooting with over six rebounds per game and the team feels that production can translate this season. Tyler played overseas before being drafted and played for the Warriors and he could be a solid addition to the bench. The team also brought back Kenyon Martin and traded for Andrea Bargnani and the team feels it can take on the Miami Heat this season.

The Knicks are trying to convince Udrih to take a pay cut to come play for the team, as they only have a minimum deal to offer. Udrih was traded last season from the Milwaukee Bucks to the Orlando Magic and he played well in spots while Jameer Neslon was hurt and the Knicks see him as a solid backup option for Raymond Felton after averaging 10.2 points and 6.1 assists in 27 minutes with Orlando.

Udrih has played for a number of teams since entering the NBA with the Spurs and after making $32.5 million during the past five season, the Knicks feel that they can convince him to come aboard. The team has dealt with injuries numerous times at the point guard position and Udrih can give them some support on the bench.
