Washington Redskins star quarterback Robert Griffin III is on his way back from a serious knee injury suffered last season in the playoffs and after a lengthy rehab, the star was cleared to play and participate in training camp, but that doesn't mean he will play in the preseason and that could mean his is in question for the season opener against the Eagles on Monday night.

Griffin is coming back from a torn ACL and LCL injury in his right knee and while he has been cleared to go in training camp workouts, sources told ESPN.com that there is a good chance that the quarterback will not play in any preseason games later this summer. The move would follow a similar path to what Adrian Peterson did last season when he had a serious knee injury and clearly that worked for him, as he rushed for 2,000 yards last season.

Griffin is having himself quite the summer, as he was rehabbing from an injury and also got married to his college girlfriend and on top of that, a juicy little story came out that alleged that the quarterback texted another woman on his wedding day. According to the Daily News, Busted Coverage reported on the story about Griffin and that he was texting with a VCU student and Hooters waitress Meredith Barber on his wedding day and also sent him a shirtless image of himself to her cut off just before his head.
Barber didn't respond to Griffin when he texted a smiley face and said "come on bae" and also "ok I give up, see you in a few weeks kid" and those messages were dated on July 6, which happened to be the day that he married girlfriend Rebecca Liddicoat. A Twitter user followed the trail of messages and linked it back to one of Griffin's groomsmen mentioning Barber, but he later said that the story was false. Barber then also asked for it to be taken down and that , in exchange, she would sell the site "inappropriate pictures," as well as pictures of chats and texts between her and Griffin. Deadspin was also asked by an ex-boyfriend of Barber's if they wanted to buy FaceTime screenshots, pictures and more proving that relationship was true.
Last season Griffin was fantastic in his rookie year, passing for 3,200 yards and 20 touchdowns with just five interceptions while completing over 65 percent of his passes and he also added 815 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. The biggest question many people have about Griffin is whether he can be the same explosive player after the knee injury, especially in the running game and while all medical reports say that he will be back to full health and should have no issues with the knee.
