The article from Rolling Stone detailing the life of Aaron Hernandez leading up to the murder of Odin Lloyd is a very interesting piece of journalism and it opens up a number of questions about the former New England Patriots star, including whether or not his girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins knew about his drug use and other issues.
Jenkins and Hernandez have been together since before Hernandez attended Florida to play football for the Gators and she has been involved in the murder case as well, as police searched a storage unit in her name. Jenkins was mentioned multiple times in the Rolling Stone article, which printed a number of serious allegations against Hernandez, including that he was a heavy user of serious drugs like PCP and that he hung around gangsters and other low-life type people rather than his family or teammates.
Jenkins may or may not have known about his drug use or the criminal elements in his past, including that his mother Terri and father Dennis both had records and she was involved in some tough issues herself, as her and Hernandez got into an argument earlier this year when police were called. The article says that Hernandez and Jenkins were in California and police were called after he put his hand through a window while the two had an argument and it bloodied him up pretty good.

Jenkins had her unit searched by police after they believed she tried to hide evidence and mislead the investigation and it stems from video of her leaving the house the day after the killing. The report says that Jenkins left the home with a garbage bag with a "rigid" object in the bag and when she returned it was gone from her car. The police have searched for the murder weapon and have so far turned up nothing and even if they don't, Hernandez could still get convicted.
Hernandez is facing first degree murder charges and life in prison for the death of Lloyd and he was arrested the week after his body was found near Hernandez's home in Attleboro. Hernandez is tied to the murder through various pieces of evidence, including shell casings and video surveillance and the RS article details the night of the murder and also what possibly happened to Lloyd.
Lloyd and Hernandez were together a couple days before the murder and lawyers said that a dispute between the two at a nightclub in Boston is the starting point. The article says that video shows the two arguing and text messages confirm later that Hernandez was worried about trusting people and then was seen on tape with a gun the night Lloyd was killed. Accomplices Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace are in custody now and Ortiz says that Wallace told him that Hernandez admitted to the crime.
Hernandez will be arraigned in superior court later next week and the case could move to trial next year. It is unclear if Shayanna Jenkins will be in court to see him like she previously was and now more and more details will continue to come out about Hernandez in the case.
